Privacy statement
Spaarradar is built to know as little about you as possible. This is what the site does process, and why.
Analytical cookies only
The site sets analytical cookies only (_ga and _ga_…, from Google Analytics, kept for up to 13 months) and uses no advertising networks or tracking cookies. Your chosen theme (light or dark) and the products you tick to compare live only in your own browser's storage and never leave it.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It recognises a returning browser by a random number in a cookie; it does not know who you are. We have set it up as sparingly as it allows: no advertising features, no link to Google accounts (Google signals is off), no sharing of the data with Google for its own purposes, and no IP addresses are stored. Google processes the figures on our behalf under a data processing agreement and deletes visit data after two months. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser at any time; the site works the same without them.
We also count visits with a cookie-free counter that stores no personal data and does not track visitors across sites. No IP addresses are kept. The counter is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and builds no profiles.
Click-throughs to banks
When you click "Open account", that click goes through our own redirect link so we can count which offers are visited. We keep the offer, the page you came from and the amount you had entered; no IP address and no browser data. At banks with an affiliate programme, the bank or the network may set cookies on its own site; their privacy policy applies there.
E-mail alerts
If you request a rate alert, we store your e-mail address together with the offer, bank or product type you want to hear about. We send nothing until you confirm (double opt-in). Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes your address immediately and completely. Only if you tick the separate box do we also send occasional news about the site, at most once a month; that consent is recorded with the subscription and ends with it. We use the address for nothing else.
Server logs
The web server keeps technical logs for a short time to resolve outages. They are not used to identify visitors and are cleaned up automatically.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data. For an alert you can do that yourself with the unsubscribe link. For everything else, e-mail [email protected].
